A walking holiday along the Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast Path follows the National Trail that starts in Knettishall, amid the forest strewn borders of Norfolk and Suffolk ending at Cromer, on the North Norfolk Heritage Coast.

Peddars Way was one of the earliest roads to be built in the county, shortly after AD61. Today it remains as the most substantial and best preserved of all Norfolk’s known Roman roads and a favoured choice for people who enjoy walking holidays in the UK.

The Norfolk Coast Path walking holiday starts in Hunstanton then joins with the Peddars Way at Holme-next-the-Sea and runs past salt marsh, beach and cliffs of the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

With habitats ranging from pine clad Brecks, open heaths, farmland, and coastline with some of the finest sand dunes and salt marshes in Europe you would not be surprised to learn that Norfolk is a paradise for bird watchers, nature lovers as well as people who enjoy walking holidays in the east of Britain.

The entire 22 miles from Holme to Weybourne has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and an EEC Special Protection Area (for wild birds).
